Suspension of CVYS activities due to COVID-19

March 15th Concert Cancelled

Due to the decision today by the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire to close for 3 weeks and hold all classes entirely online until at least April 20th, CVYS will not be able to hold our March 15th concert in Gantner Hall on the UWEC campus. We are concerned about the safety of our musicians and audience due to the current Coronavirus threat, and have therefore decided to cancel the upcoming concert.

As a result of the precautions taken by UWEC regarding use of campus facilities and the prohibition of gatherings on campus of 25 people or more, we will not be able to hold CVYS rehearsals until at least April 21st.

We are truly saddened by the reach of the Coronavirus and how it is affecting public safety and our daily lives. Musicians, this is a great time to practice your instrument while waiting for things to improve so that CVYS can reconvene.

Take care and stay safe everyone!
